Every couple has their own perspective on their wedding photoshoot. Here, I’m specifically talking about a love story photoshoot (just the two of you). Some may prefer shooting in a park, others in a photo studio, and some in beautiful palaces, theaters, hotels, or any other creative location (like an airport, for example). In my opinion, a hotel is a convenient place for the shoot.
1. Diverse Locations
In a hotel, we can take photos in various locations. We can capture beautiful moments during the bride’s morning preparations in her room. I’ll catch the moments of you getting ready, dressing up, and the support you receive from friends and family. Additionally, we’ll take stunning portrait photos in the lobby, in the elevator, and on the hotel stairs, where the couple can be together before heading to the ceremony.
2. Return to the Hotel After the Banquet
You can return to the hotel after the banquet. This means you get a 2-in-1 experience. You can have your photoshoot and wedding night, and even the banquet if there’s a suitable hall in the hotel.
3. Choose the Right Room
I recommend selecting a spacious, bright room with neutral colors. The larger the space, the more room there is for you and for the photographer’s creative photo ideas. Also, remember that besides the photographer, there will be a makeup artist, videographer, and possibly guests, all of whom will need space.
4. Plan Your Day with Timing
To make sure everything fits in, you’ll need a timeline for the day. Discuss with your photographer how much time will be needed for shooting in the hotel locations and how much in the room. You should also ask the makeup artist for the exact time you’ll be ready and add a few extra minutes on top.
5. Consider Hiring a Wedding Organizer
Hiring a wedding planner can help eliminate many small tasks. You can also get a list of suitable hotels for wedding photoshoots from your photographer. For example, I have a list of such locations, and depending on the wedding concept, I recommend a few options to my couples, and we choose together.
A wedding photoshoot is not just about creating beautiful photographs; it’s also about capturing valuable moments. Relax, enjoy the moment, and allow yourself to be yourself.
